My Crazy Life

My life as I live it....

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry guys, I have really been falling behind in posting...

Basically I finished my time in Spain with a choir barbecue, another Church service in a hotel (I found out that they have services every two months), taking finals, packing, going to Madrid, staying at one of the pastor`s houses (that was really great of them to let me stay there!), seeing Lisa (the girl from Kiel that lived in my house senior as an exchange student) see me off at the airport and then fly home. The last two weeks there flew by way to fast! Check out my facebook photos for some more insights on what I did.

I arrived in Minneapolis on the 15th of December and I went to a wedding over by Milwaukee on the 16th. My Mom had injured her arm, so I got to do most of the driving, which went amazingly and thankfully well. At the wedding (names Dan and Christine) I was very tired, but it was great to see some people again!

The following Monday Mom and I drove home, and once again I did most of the driving. Mom and I also got to see my aunt and uncle and two of their three kids. That Sunday I also went to Church and I didn't fall asleep there! I got to see my choir director from college there as he attends the same Church.

Then I went home and I was very lazy until Christmas. Christmas was good, everyone in my family got presents that they enjoy very much, so that is good. I received two cook books, so I am wondering if that is a sign, from two different people too. I am planning on moving into an apartment and move off of campus next fall, so maybe that is simply why. :-)

On Tuesday I cleaned my room. It is interesting how messy a room can get. I attribute my rooms messiness to packing my room last spring into boxes in record time (so now I don't know where my stuff is...), then have to find my stuff in said boxes to go to Germany last summer, then coming home and packing up to go to Camp for a while and then packing to go to Spain. I wasn't home a lot and a lot of things just ended up getting piled up as sometimes I would have to unpack a bunch of things to find what I needed or wanted and then it would not get repacked... Now my room is clean and I have plenty of room! I still need to organize somethings, but that is relatively small in comparison to the mess I had before.

Then Wednesday we left for Nebraska to visit the Grandmas. Unfortunately my Mom got a horrible stomach ache after we arrived at the hotel on Wednesday night. She didn't even get to go see her own Mom there... Then we wanted to stay over night at my other Grandma's but on the way we stopped at a hotel and now my Dad is coming down with it... Please pray that they get feeling better, my Mom is a lot better, but my Dad is getting it now.... So that has also we got to see some cousins at the first stop.

Whenever we arrive home AJ, my younger brother, and I are going to head out to camp for a New Year's thing there. I have gone to it twice, but this is the first year AJ could go. We basically have a Bible study and different topic leaders Saturday and Sunday and then we celebrate the coming of the new year with Communion at this really neat spot at camp called the Point. So I am pumped to go again. We will also get to see a bunch of people that we both know, which is always exciting.

So that is a rough run down of what I have been doing. Hopefully Tuesday when I am home again I can write more emails and get more things done.

Until then MERRY 6th DAY OF CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
