Lisa -- My Exchange student

Right now I don't think I am going to try photos, though I am on my own computer. It seems to go very slow on my computer in comparison with their computers. Currently I am at Lisa's house and there is a big sailing fest going on in her town known as Kieler Woche. So in honor of Kieler Woche we went sailing today!

Before I talk much about that I should mention what I have been doing since the last time I posted, that was about the potatoes right?

I went to my host family's house and it was good to see them again. On Tuesday (a very warm day) my host Mom and I biked into town and had ice cream. I did survive the bike ride, once I had a bike that was not out of my height range and the heat didn't cause me to keel over either... On Wednesday I met up with a friend in town and that evening watched the WM Game of Germany against, well that doesn't matter, Germany won. I did that with Henrike, my lil host sis, who got quite tall in the last several years... On Thursday I met up with another friend, Tatjana, I was at her house several times a week during my year. I would eat lunch at her house while I waited for my extra German class. On Friday I left them and came up to Kiel!!

Kieler Woche started on Friday and so I have been out every night since coming here. Friday Lisa and I went down on the water in Kiel and then went shopping. Mainly to find shoes for Lisa's Abiball dress, but we didn't succeed... That evening we went to Kieler Woche. We met up with a childhood friend of Lisa's who had a visitor from the US there. She can't speak German... It was a little odd for me to switch between the two languages the whole time like I was doing, but it worked out. We met up with Philip's class from school.

Anyways, I am getting very distracted at the moment, but I will write more in the next few days, keep in tune!
